There is an excellent opportunity at PCA Engineers Limited for a talented and highly motivated graduate engineer to develop his/her skills in aero-mechanical design and analysis of turbomachinery. The successful candidate will work directly with a team of experts and support the activities within the group by performing CFD (as well as FEA) calculations on various types of turbomachines. In this role, the candidate will be supported to develop competence in designing new components and encouraged to work towards attaining Chartered Engineer status.
A good understanding of engineering fundamentals and an interest in turbomachinery are essential. Previous experience of 3D CFD/FEA in turbomachinery is highly sought after. Good communication skills are also essential as the role will become client-facing. Candidates must be self-motivated, well organised and be able to operate efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team. The role is based in our Lincoln office but will involve occasional overseas travel. The successful candidates will have a good first or a postgraduate degree with relevant modules/projects in turbomachinery.
The post represents a challenging position for a candidate looking to take real responsibility early in their career and ultimately to develop our business. Starting salary will be in the range of £29k to £34k depending on qualifications, plus future profit share and benefits. Performance-based progression can be rapid within this growing, dynamic business.
