Software - Vista

Vista, an acronym for Visual Turbomachinery Analysis, is a system of 1D and 2D codes for the design and analysis of turbomachinery, interfacing with external codes such as CFD.

Based on PCA's proven engineering codes, widely used in the turbomachinery industries for the last ten years, Vista adds graphical interactive pre- and post-processing to rigorous flow-physics, rugged program-ming, and validated procedures.

Vista systems

Vista comprises the following design and analysis systems:

Vista-AT

Axial flow turbines

Vista-AC

Axial flow compressors

Vista-CF

Centrifugal compressors

Vista-RT

Radial inflow turbines

Vista-P

Mixed-flow pumps

Each of these systems incorporates a number of modules for 1D design, 1D performance, 2D axisymmetric design and blade geometry generation and manipulation. The systems are designed to connect with external or proprietary software; for example there are interfaces to CFX-TASCflow, the preferred CFD system for turbomachinery analysis.

Vista can be operated on PC's and laptops, operating in Windows NT or 98, with a quite modest system specification. The Graphics User Interfaces allow the user to move rapidly up the learning curve and to operate the software's many facilities intuitively, thereby allowing attention to be focussed on the quality of the engineering design.
