PCA's partner in the application of CFD tools in turbomachinery design and the development of turboomachinery design tools within the CFD modelling environment.

VITAL will contribute significantly to the ambitious European targets
for aerospace defined in ACARE, and will address aircraft engine
performance issues concerning the fan, compressor, and LP turbine. PCA is a partner in the programme.
As a partner in this highly significant European Union programme, PCA will provide support to Liebherr in the development of an integrated ‘smart
power pack’, in which PCA’s high pressure ratio compressor design
capability will play a vital role.

PCA’s role are undertaking CFD analysis and comparative studies on centrifugal and axial flow compressor configurations as a part of this crucial European Union programme
