Vacancy - Compressor Aero Design Specialist

10 September 2008

PCA continues to enjoy a high workload and a vacancy exists for an engineer with experience of turbomachinery aerodynamic design, ideally to focus on centrifugal compressor aerodynamics.  PCA has an established reputation for the design of centrifugal compressors for a range of market segments including turbochargers, gas turbines and industrial machines so experience in one of these areas will be an advantage. The design system involves application of the latest CFD methods using ANSYS CFX. PCA also markets its own turbomachinery design tools and the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to contribute towards methods development.

Based in the Lincoln office, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years post-graduate experience in a manufacturing company. Failing this, PCA will consider candidates with aerodynamic design experience in other types of turbomachine such as axial compressors, radial and axial turbines. The company offers an attractive salary package in a range of up to £45K and potential for career growth to Board level.
