An excellent opportunity now exists for a Turbomachinery Aerodynamic Engineer with a strong background in turbomachinery design and analysis to join this leading international engineering consultancy specialising in turbomachinery aero-mechanical design and software based in Lincoln.

 

The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have sound engineering and computational abilities. A higher degree and/or Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous. Ideally you will have experience in the Aerodynamic design of turbomachinery, especially centrifugal compressors, though a broad empirical knowledge of the factors affecting the design and performance of any axial or radial turbomachine may also be considered.

 

Preferably you will also have experience in the use of CFD applied to the analysis of turbomachinery and recent use of ANSYS-CFX codes would be of particular interest.

 

Previous experience of the development of software used in the design or analysis of turbomachinery (Languages: FORTRAN, C#) would be advantageous.

 

Self-motivated, well organised and able to operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a small, specialised Engineering Consultancy, management skills and the ability to interface with clients would also be beneficial. Openings also exist for similarly skilled individuals in mechanical analysis of turbomachinery and combustor design.
