Mark Dempsey joined PCA on 2nd January this year following over 10 years experience in the analysis of mechanical integrity of gas turbine components at Siemens Industrial Turbines in Lincoln.
His latest experience was as Group Leader for Mechanical Integrity in the Turbine Component Group, complementing his earlier experience in the combustion and compressor groups.
Mark graduated with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacture and Management from Birmingham University in the UK.
With his extensive experience in analysis and results interpretation of static stress problems; modal analysis, frequency extraction; cases including non-linear material behaviour; creep and plasticity; contact problems; transient thermo-mechanical issues he will play a key role in the development of PCA's structural capability for turbomachinery.
