Dr Chris Robinson has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering - Sept 2023

The directors and staff of PCA Engineers congratulate their colleague Dr Chris Robinson, Director of PCA, on being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in September 2023. He joins a community of almost 1,700 eminent engineers on a mission to help the Academy achieve its overarching strategic goal of harnessing the power of engineering to create a sustainable society and an inclusive economy for all.

The Academy was founded in 1976 as the Fellowship of Engineering with support from HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who became its Senior Fellow and remained so until his death. HRH The Princess Royal and HRH The Duke of Kent are Royal Fellows of the Academy. HRH The Princess Royal was guest of honour at the New Fellows’ Dinner in November 2023, where Dr Robinson was formally admitted to the Fellowship. This took place at The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in London.

Each year, around 60 Fellows are typically elected to the Fellowship as well as up to 10 International and five Honorary Fellows, in recognition of their outstanding and continuing contributions to the profession.

New Fellows are nominated and elected by existing Fellows; Dr Robinson gratefully acknowledges all those who supported his nomination. As well as recognition for the individual, this honour reflects well on PCA Engineers which has become well-known and respected across the turbomachinery industry over the past 35 years.
